Chainsaw Man chapter 171 delivered exactly what fans anticipated following the previous installment. The Black Chainsaw Man, also known as Pochita’s TRUE FORM, finally returns to avenge Nayuta and confront the Public Safety officers who are closing in on Denji and Asa Mitaka to arrest them.
Tatsuki Fujimoto gave fans a heart-stopping moment in the last chapter by further shattering Denji’s psyche, casually showing Nayuta’s head on a sushi bar plate.
The culprit behind this is Barem Bridge, the Church’s second-in-command. Barem explains that Denji needs two things to access his strongest form:

Regarding the first condition, Barem notes that Chainsaw Man has become one of the most feared entities on Earth, comparable to aging and sickness. In recent chapters, numerous people have suddenly sprouted chainsaws from their heads and died on the spot, amplifying the fear of chainsaws among the public.
The second condition was met, and the first action Denji takes using Pochita’s true form is to kill Barem. He brutally tears Barem’s head from his body, similar to how Asa acted after being possessed by the War Devil, Yoru.
Meanwhile, the Public Safety officers have spotted the Black Chainsaw Man and are preparing intensively to eliminate the Devil once and for all. However, many fans are skeptical about their chances of success.
