YG Entertainment’s rising septet BABYMONSTER is officially expanding the visual universe for their third mini-album, CHOOM, with a dedicated music video for their highly anticipated track “MOON.”

According to official announcements, the music video will premiere worldwide on August 3, 2026, at 12:00 AM KST (Midnight) across all major streaming channels.

First capturing widespread attention during the opening Seoul dates of the group’s 2026- 2027 world tour earlier this summer, “MOON” quickly became a standout track among fans.

Its upcoming video release marks the fourth track from CHOOM to receive an official visual treatment, following the successful rollouts for “SUGAR HONEY ICE TEA,” “HOT SAUCE,” and “I LIKE IT.”

A Sonic Shift Toward Darker, Atmospheric Realism

Departing from the bright, sun-drenched pop energy featured in their recent summer promotional track “I LIKE IT,” “MOON” signifies a distinct stylistic pivot toward a darker, more atmospheric concept for the group.

  • Genre & Production: The track is built on a Southern trap-infused R&B hip-hop foundation, characterized by heavy 808 basslines, sparse arrangements, surreal lyricism, and dreamy, reverberating arpeggios.
  • Visual Direction: Teaser promotional material reveals a dramatic aesthetic dominated by a colossal full moon hovering over an obsidian forest, punctuated by stark crimson typography.
  • Member Styling: Individual teasers kicking off with members Pharita and Asa showcase smoky eye makeup, intense gazes, and sleek, sophisticated fashion.

Fueling Global Momentum Amid World Tour

The upcoming premiere lands right in the middle of BABYMONSTER’s extensive 2026–2027 world tour.

The seven members- Ruka, Pharita, Asa, Ahyeon, Rami, Rora, and Chiquita- are currently traveling across major arenas spanning Asia, Oceania, South America, North America, and Europe.

Complementing their live concert circuit, the group continues to strengthen their international footprint through headline festival appearances and global broadcast activities.
