Rookie girl group Baby DONT Cry is preparing for its next musical chapter with the upcoming digital single “Replay,” which will be released simultaneously in South Korea and Japan on November 4, 2026.

The release will serve as a preview of the group’s official Japanese debut, marking an important step in its plans to expand its presence in the Japanese music market.

On October 26, P NATION announced that the group would release its Japanese debut mini album, ‘DAYBREAK/Replay,’ on January 20, 2027.

Ahead of the album’s arrival, the Japanese version of “Replay” will be made available alongside the Korean release through a collaboration between P NATION and Warner Music Japan.

The announcement has generated anticipation among fans who have been waiting for new music from the group.

“Replay” will be Baby DONT Cry’s first release in approximately eight months, following the promotional activities for its first mini album earlier this year.

Alongside the announcement, the agency revealed a short teaser video through the group’s official social media channels, offering a first glimpse of the concept surrounding the upcoming single.

“Replay” Teaser Introduces a Mysterious New Concept

The approximately 18-second teaser features a small ghost flying towards the top of a castle.

The clip concludes with a scroll unfolding to reveal the title of the new song, creating a mysterious atmosphere around the release.

Although the teaser does not reveal extensive details about the track’s sound or storyline, its visual elements have given fans an early look at the concept.

The castle setting and ghost imagery suggest a playful, fantasy-inspired direction, while the title card builds anticipation for the full release.

The simultaneous Korean and Japanese release also distinguishes “Replay” from a conventional Japanese debut announcement.

By making both versions available on the same day, Baby DONT Cry will be able to connect with listeners in its home market while introducing the new single to Japanese audiences ahead of the mini album.

The January release of ‘DAYBREAK/Replay’ will then serve as the group’s official entry into Japan with a dedicated mini album.

The project is expected to introduce Japanese listeners to another stage of the group’s musical development.

For fans, the upcoming single offers an opportunity to hear new material before the full Japanese debut arrives in early 2027.

Baby DONT Cry Builds on Its Early Success

Baby DONT Cry debuted on June 23, 2025, with the single “F Girl.”

The group later released its second digital single, “I DONT CARE,” before returning with “Shapeshifter” as a pre-release track and “Bittersweet” as the title track of its first mini album, ‘AFTER CRY,’ in March 2026.

The group consists of four members: leader Yihyun, who also serves as an MC on SBS’s ‘Inkigayo’; youngest member Beni; and Japanese members Kumi and Mia.

Their different backgrounds contribute to the group’s identity as it prepares to reach a wider international audience.

Baby DONT Cry has already attracted attention in Japan. Kumi’s Japanese phrase “Kumi dayo,” featured in the group’s debut single “F Girl,” went viral on Japanese social media, with users describing it as catchy and memorable.

The group subsequently appeared on a TV Tokyo programme to perform, further raising awareness ahead of its official Japanese debut.

The upcoming release is therefore a continuation of the group’s growing engagement with Japanese audiences rather than its first introduction to the market.

With “Replay” scheduled for November 4 and ‘DAYBREAK/Replay’ following on January 20, 2027, Baby DONT Cry is preparing for a busy period of musical activities.

The new single will give fans in both countries fresh music to anticipate while setting the stage for the group’s next major milestone.
