Apex Legends is teaming up with Street Fighter 6 for a major limited-time collaboration that brings the fighting game’s iconic combat styles into Respawn’s battle royale. The Apex Legends VS Street Fighter 6 Event launches across all supported platforms on September 22, 2026, introducing a special Wildcard experience, a redesigned version of Olympus and a collection of new cosmetics.

The crossover gives Apex Legends players an opportunity to fight using abilities inspired by four legendary Street Fighter characters. Ryu, Chun-Li, Akuma and Dhalsim each receive their own Fighter Gear kits with unique Passive abilities, Tactical skills and signature Ultimates. This makes the event more than a cosmetic crossover, as players can temporarily change how they approach fights.

The event also introduces a new combat phase called Fighter Form, allowing players to switch to third-person combat after filling their Fight Gauge. The form provides enhanced melee attacks, blocking, damage reduction and increased movement speed, alongside the character-specific Tactical and Ultimate abilities.

Street Fighter Transforms Olympus for the Wildcard Event

The collaboration centers on a Street Fighter 6-themed version of Olympus in Wildcard. Players can smash Punch Trucks to collect Fight Gauge tokens, visit Luke’s Gym and discover arcade machines, Blanka-chan balloons and other references to Capcom’s fighting game throughout the map.

Fighter Form becomes especially important during Showdown, the event’s final battle. Players who survive until the last round enter an all-out fight where everyone transforms into Fighter Form, while downed or respawning players return for the decisive confrontation.

A new Hadoken Mythic Universal Melee cosmetic is also available, complete with a matching Deathbox. Players can additionally earn Zenny and spend it in the Reward Shop, including on the Lifeline x Li-Fen Epic Skin.

The event features eight Iconic Skins inspired by Street Fighter 6 characters, including Sparrow as Ryu, Alter as Chun-Li, Bangalore as Elena, Mirage as Luke, Gibraltar as Akuma, Wattson as Cammy, Caustic as Blanka and Pathfinder as Dhalsim.

Eight Legendary weapon skins are also being added for weapons including the R-99, EVA-8, Flatline, Volt, G7 Scout, Mozambique, Sentinel and Peacekeeper. Additional rewards include Skydive Emotes, Holosprays, Stickers, Badges, Trackers and Frames.

The Apex Legends VS Street Fighter 6 Event begins September 22 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC through Steam, the EA App and Epic Games Store.
