Ultraman has been making a strong comeback recently, and now the iconic Tokusatsu hero is set to join forces with Marvel’s Avengers in the upcoming Ultraman X Avengers comic!

Tsuburaya Productions launched a global initiative a few years ago to expand their brands, resulting in new projects like a Netflix anime series, a live-action reboot, and the upcoming Ultraman: Rising animated film premiering this summer.

Additionally, they’ve collaborated with Marvel to introduce a fresh take on Ultraman through a successful series of comics since 2019.

Marvel and Tsuburaya Productions have finally answered fans’ calls for a full crossover by announcing Ultraman X Avengers. This new four-issue limited series is penned by the same creative team behind the Ultraman comics: writers Kyle Higgins and Mat Groom and artist Francesco Manna.

The crossover will feature Ultraman teaming up with the Avengers, marking a thrilling collision of Japan’s greatest hero and Marvel’s mightiest champions.

The first look at Ultraman X Avengers showcases cover art by Dike Ruan, and the series is set to debut on August 14th. Marvel teases a gripping storyline where Spider-Man goes missing, an intergalactic invader lands on Ultraman’s turf, and Earth’s Kaiju start behaving unusually.

This leads to a cosmic threat that necessitates an epic team-up between Ultraman and the Avengers, promising a collision of Spacium Ray with Repulsor Ray and a meeting of ‘THWIP!’ with ‘SHUWATCH!’.
