YOASOBI is teaming up with Complex for a special Los Angeles pop-up event as the Japanese J-pop duo reaches the final stretch of its Never Ending Stories North American tour. The two-day event will take place at 433 N. Fairfax Ave. on August 18 and 19, giving fans an opportunity to experience exclusive merchandise and meet the musicians behind YOASOBI.
The pop-up will run from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. on August 18 and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on August 19. The biggest attraction for fans will be a signing session scheduled for August 18 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., when Ayase and vocalist ikura will sign THE BOOK for, [Japan Exclusive Edit] vinyl.
The event arrives just days after YOASOBI concludes its major North American run with a performance at the Hollywood Bowl on August 16. The tour has included major venues such as TD Garden, Barclays Center and Climate Pledge Arena, alongside festival appearances at Lollapalooza and OSHEAGA.
The Los Angeles event also follows the release of YOASOBI’s Orion, a song inspired by The Fall of a Sparrow, a short novel connected to Overwatch. The track focuses on Genji, Hanzo and Kiriko and appears on THE BOOK for,.
YOASOBI, consisting of composer Ayase and vocalist ikura, has become one of Japan’s most successful musical acts internationally, with hits including “Idol,” “Monster” and “Into The Night.”
