Plot
In the show, a group of contestants participates in a game similar to a party game called “Mafia.” In this game, a small group of contestants becomes “Traitors,” and the remaining contestants get to become the “Faithfuls.” While the Traitors unite to eliminate the faithful, the faithful must discover and banish these traitors by voting them out.
Contestants In Season 1
There are twenty Canadian contestants in The Traitors who are united in a historic manor in Montreal for the show. While the Traitors are selected by the host herself, the remaining contestants automatically become the Faithfuls.
The contestants who had joined the show The Traitors include – Erika Casupanan, Collin Johnson, Nazila Dehghani, Melissa Best, Gurpyar Bains, Rick Campanelli, Crystal Mayes, Miss Fierce, Domenic Ielasi, Kevin Martin, Donna Hartt, Gurleen Maan, Kuzie Mujakachi, Leroy Fontaine, Mai Nguyen, Mary Wisden, Melissa Allder, Mickey Henry, Mike D’Urzo, and Travon Smith.
The contestants who were murdered till now are Erika, Nazila, Gurpyar, and Crystal, and the contestants who were banished are Collin, Melissa, Rick, Miss Fierce, and Kevin.
Both of these groups work with their team members to win the grand prize of $100,000. When the show reaches the end, the Faithful will share the prize fund if they happen to win. However, it’s not easy because if any of the Traitors happen to make it to the end, then they will be free to steal the prize money.
Why Was Domenic Removed From The Traitors Canada?
If you have been watching this show, then we are sure you must be curious about Domenic’s sudden exit from the show. Domenic Ielasi was a 32-year-old man from Hamilton, Ontario, who joined the show as a contestant. He was one of those people known for his loyal and faithful nature, but don’t be fooled, and Dom could be outspoken when the need arose.
Although known to be loyal yet unafraid to speak his mind, he was outrageously outspoken, which makes one wonder – could it be one of the reasons behind his sudden exit?
Dom was currently removed from the game. The reason given by the decision makers was that he had to be removed from the game for undisclosed specific reasons beyond a breach of the game rules, which doesn’t reveal much.
Dom was disqualified on the sixth episode of The Traitors. The episode was titled Ghost Hunting and was aired on 6th November 2023. In the episodes, all the guests were on Deathrow, and the contestants had to face the ghosts from their pasts in a hauntingly spooky mansion where nothing feels safe.
