Judy is a prosecutor, and Jerry is an attorney. Jerry Sheindlin recalled how they met when he was talking to a reporter when Judy approached. As Jerry explained how she came walking in and put her finger in his face, and said, ‘And who is this?’ Jerry immediately asked her to get her finger out of his face. The couple tied the knot in 1977, and Judy had three more children in her family, namely Gregory, 55, Jonathan, 52, and Nicole, 51. Soon Judy’s career took off as she started grabbing attention as a family court judge in New York City in the 1980s, where her no-nonsense attitude and signature style of allowing the public and the media in her courtroom soon led to a profile in The Los Angeles Times.
