On 3 July (2018), there was some news that rapper G-Eazy did something wrong. This surprised many people because G-Eazy and Halsey had only been together for a little while. They first met in the year 2017, and they started dating not long after they met.

Halsey announced their breakup on July 3. She posted a very cryptic message on her Instagram. There was no picture, just the text—a plain white background and black text, lacking emotions and whatnot.
In her messages, she said she normally would not say anything about what initially happened, but she and G-Easy are taking some time away from each other. She wants to focus more on her career, music, and arts. She said she would continue her tour and wish him (G-Easy) the best.
Later the same day, she tweeted a scissors emoji. Fans immediately captured the content, added two and two, and synced with their hit song, ‘Him & I,’ only to realize the subtle message in the text.
To make matters worse, Halsey followed her tweet with another simple post, “pumpkin eater.” This one came one day later, on the 4th of July. As I said, these subtle and cryptic texts are probably in reference to the nursery rhyme we all know as “Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater.” This rhyme has been translated over the years and used by scorned lovers to mean “Cheater Cheater Pumpkin Eater.”
What is the Story of Halsey and G-Eazy?
I think it’s okay to admit that some of us saw Halsey and G-Easy split coming. No? Well, the couple’s relationship came to a brutal end based on an Instagram story on Halsey’s page.
G-Easy and Halsey were not ashamed to show off their love and affection anywhere, whether in the studio, at home, in the street, or on stage… Literally anywhere, PDA allowed. So, here is the fast-paced, whirlwind romance they had for a year.
G-Eazy stunned fans into a stupor when he brought Halsey onstage on his New Orleans Bud Light Dive Bar Tour. The pair sang their song “Him & I” on stage, and this romance caused a mighty spark, and soon the tabloids were on fire.
G-Eazy did a lot of denial and actually downplayed several of the relationship rumors, saying that he’d wanted to work with Halsey a few times and that she was a beautiful and stunning woman and an incredible musician and singer.

On Halsey’s 23rd birthday, G-Eazy surprised her by appearing during a show and then had the entire audience and crowd sing her a happy birthday song.

G-Eazy finally spoke about their romance and confirmed that they both shared a special and strong bond. He also stated that they had spent much time together over the holidays.
January 2018
They two started the new year strong and fresh. Halsey first appeared on Saturday Night Live as a guest, then later G-Easy joined her when the duo sang their hit song “Him & I.”
March 2018
They appeared on the red carpet at the iHeartRadio Music Awards. Let’s not forget the explicit PDA they did while they watched the show.
Soon, G-Eazy is arrested in Sweden for drug possession and attacking security guards. In all this, Halsey stayed by his side and supported him through all of it. Even when G-Eazy pleaded guilty to the drug and assault charges, he was then fined $9,000 to avoid jail time and also gave additional money to settle to the victim he’d attacked.
