The Undertaker's Look In The Young Rock and The Undertaker

The hit sitcom “Young Rock” isn’t exactly known for perfect accuracy. While it tells the story of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, some things are fictionalized for comedic effect. Even The Undertaker isn’t a big fan of how he was portrayed!

Creative Liberties Taken with The Undertaker

The Undertaker, also known as “The Phenom,” is a legendary WWE character. While actor Josh Rawiri tried to capture his essence, The Undertaker himself wasn’t happy with one key detail: the hat.

On his podcast, The Undertaker revealed he wasn’t a fan of the casting choice for his character. He jokingly said if he had his own sitcom, he might cast someone unexpected to play The Rock, like Steve Urkel from “Family Matters.”

The real sticking point, though, was the hat! The Undertaker strongly disliked the black hat they gave his character.

The Undertaker wasn’t the only one critical of the casting choices. Some fans also felt the actors portraying The Undertaker and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin weren’t right for the roles.

Regardless of the casting critiques, “Young Rock” was canceled after three seasons. So, while fans might not have loved the portrayal of The Undertaker, it’s a moot point now that the show is over.
