The Undertaker recently discussed wrestling on a podcast. He talked about the industry losing some of its mystery and the difficulty of pushing boundaries while staying true to the sport.
While he respects The Rock’s influence on wrestling, The Undertaker wants to see a return to the edgier content of the “Attitude Era.” He misses the physicality and brawls of that time period. The Undertaker believes there’s too much focus on choreographed moves and not enough on raw emotion.
He compared wrestling today to the grittier, more physical style of the Attitude Era. The Undertaker admits he might be biased because that’s when he had his greatest success.
There have been reports that WWE might allow for more mature content in the future. So, The Undertaker’s wish for a return to a more “Attitude Era” style of wrestling might actually come true.
