The Mistress: Plot
As mentioned earlier, The Mistress takes you to the lives of the family members of a wealthy businessman named Rico, his son JD, his wife, and his Mistress Sari. Each character in this movie is shown struggling with their individual difficulties, and they have their own ways of dealing with them. As Sari becomes a part of their lives, especially JD and his father gets drawn toward her while their wives suffer in silence.
Sari is an independent architect by profession and a mistress to Rico. Rico has kept Sari as his Mistress for a long time, and JD is not aware of the fact that she is a mistress to his father. When JD sees Sari for the first time, he immediately gets attracted to her, and he soon starts expressing his love for her. Moreover, JD is a married man who is never loved by his father.
Over the years, Sari is intimately involved with Rico, which JD soon gets to know. However, he is not heartbroken and still approaches Sari and decides not to tell her about his real identity. Because of his constant romantic and passionate approaches, Sari finally falls for JD, and they soon start dating, keeping their love life secret from JD’s family, especially Rico and his wife, Ina.
After so much struggle, guilt, and suffering, the romantic tale of JD and Sari’s love begins. However, as they are already entangled in complex relationships, the difficult situations soon start hitting their desire to be together for the rest of their lives. The Mistress: Ending Explained
Once love starts blooming between JD and Sari, they come across many challenges that make them reconsider their decision to be with each other. Even though everything goes on well with them, they forget that because of their affair, their loved ones are going through intense pain.
JD has his whole family, which would never expect such a thing as cheating and dishonesty from him, and his mother, who has suffered through the trauma of her husband having a mistress, would never want her son to reciprocate the same.
At the end of The Mistress, Rico finally gets to know that JD and Sari are romantically involved. Therefore, in front of Sari, both JD and Rico get into a small feud which turns into a serious fistfight, and while fighting, Rico suffers from a heart attack.
The heart attack turns fatal when JD’s family and Sari discover that Rico is going to die soon. JD understands his mistakes and decides to apologize to his father for the mistakes that he committed.
While dying, even Rico remembers how badly he treated his son and before counting his last breaths, he appointed JD as the CEO of his company and handed over all of the responsibilities of his family and business to JD. Even Sari realizes the mistakes that she committed in her life and decides to make a firm decision that would repair the lives of all those who became victimized by trauma because of her.
Sari’s ex-boyfriend Leo happens to enter her life and expresses his feelings for her. As Sari has to decide what is better for all those whose life has been impacted because of her, she decides to reconcile with Leo, even though JD does not want to let her go. The last scene depicts Sari departing from JD’s life and JD looking at his wife and child through the photograph realizing and feeling guilty for cheating on them and giving them all of the sorrows they never deserved.
The film neither has a happy ending nor a sad one because even though JD and Sari do not end up together, they finally think about their loved ones, decide to repair all of their regretful decisions, and finally move toward their previous lives, which were more happy and joyful.
