Nexon has taken action against 1,462 The First Descendant players in its latest crackdown on abusive behavior, according to an official notice covering the period from August 21 to August 27, 2026. The enforcement included 17 permanent game bans, 62 15-day bans, two seven-day trading restrictions, and 1,381 three-day separate matchmaking penalties.
The biggest penalties were issued to players involved in unauthorized programs and exploitation of the game’s Open Store payment process. Seven players received permanent bans for creating, distributing, or using unauthorized programs, while another 10 were permanently banned for gaining unfair benefits through the store payment process.
Nexon Targets Onslaught Exploits and Abnormal Gameplay

The latest action also appears to be part of Nexon’s wider response to abnormal gameplay in Onslaught. The company previously confirmed that it was reviewing player activity related to the issue and restricting access for users found to have gained excessive unfair advantages or repeatedly engaged in abnormal behavior.
In the August 21–27 crackdown, 62 players received 15-day game bans for exploiting the game or engaging in repeated abnormal behavior. Nexon specifically said the penalties covered players who obtained excessive unfair gains in Onslaught.
The largest group of affected players received three-day separate matchmaking penalties after unusual gameplay activity was detected. A further two players were hit with seven-day trading restrictions because of abnormal transaction records. The official enforcement notice stated that the actions were based on player reports and Nexon’s own monitoring.
Nexon urged players to continue reporting suspicious behavior through The First Descendant’s in-game reporting feature. The developer also said players who believe they were wrongly penalized for payment-related exploitation can contact customer support to appeal their case. The company said it would continue working to ensure that players can enjoy the game in a fair environment.
