The Exiled Heavy Knight Knows How to Game the System is returning with Part 2 this fall, and Kodansha and Studio GoHands have revealed several major details about the next chapter. The anime has revealed a new key visual, main promotional video, theme songs and four additional cast members ahead of its continuation on Crunchyroll.
Based on the Kodansha Young Magazine series, the fantasy anime has more than 5 million copies in circulation. Part 2 picks up after Elymas and Ruche’s battle with Malice and moves the story toward Lacoryna, the city of adventurers, where they encounter several new characters and challenges.
The new promotional video highlights the increasingly powerful Heavy Knight while introducing Kelt, Maebel, Hilde and Carlos. It also previews the anime’s new opening and ending themes, adding another layer to the upcoming arc.
The Exiled Heavy Knight Part 2 Introduces Four New Characters
Part 2 adds Kosuke Tanabe as Kelt, a B-rank Hunter who joins Elymas on a raid quest. Tsugumi Sakuragi voices Maebel, a C-rank Priest, while Misaki Kuno plays Hilde, a B-rank Magic Swordsman who considers herself Carlos’ foremost disciple.
Kengo Kawanishi joins as Carlos, an A-rank Magic Swordsman known as the “Black Flame Blade.” The four new adventurers are prominently featured alongside Elymas and Ruche in the newly released key visual.
The main PV shows Elymas and Ruche arriving in Lacoryna before introducing the new characters through fast-paced action sequences. The trailer eventually showcases Elymas activating Dragonrage Deathgaze, teasing another major display of his abilities.
Tokoyami Towa and PompadollS Perform the New Themes
Tokoyami Towa performs Part 2’s opening theme, “Rewrite the Answer,” an energetic rock song produced by Yamanaka of THE ORAL CIGARETTES. Towa said she was particularly drawn to Elymas’ ability to turn adversity into strength.
The ending theme, “Contemporary Dance,” comes from Tokyo rock band PompadollS. Vocalist Goju Igarashi said the song reflects the struggle of dealing with the traits and circumstances people are born with.
The series continues to follow Elymas, who was exiled after being branded a “defective” Heavy Knight. However, his past-life memories reveal that the world is identical to a VR game he once played, giving him knowledge that allows him to exploit the Heavy Knight class in ways others do not understand.

The Exiled Heavy Knight Knows How to Game the System Part 2 will continue streaming on Crunchyroll in fall 2026, with both dubbed and subtitled versions available.
The returning cast includes Takeo Otsuka as Elymas Edvaughn and Shion Wakayama as Ruche Luvis, alongside Natsuko Abe as Malice Edvaughn.
GoHands remains responsible for animation production, with Shingo Suzuki serving as general director and Katsumasa Yokomine directing. Ludvig Forssell handles the music, while SHOCHIKU anime serves as the production lead.
