The anime adaptation of The Beginning After the End has revealed a brand-new trailer and teaser visual for its upcoming second season. The fantasy series will return this spring, with Season 2 scheduled to premiere on April 1 on Crunchyroll.
The announcement was accompanied by new promotional materials that offer a preview of the next stage of Arthur Leywin’s journey across the magical continent of Dicathen.
The newly released trailer teases Arthur’s continued growth as he trains and works as an adventurer. The preview shows Arthur teaming up with Jasmine Flamesworth as they face powerful enemies and dangerous creatures during their quests. The trailer also introduces several new characters appearing in the second season, including Brald, Samantha, and Vio.
In addition to the new characters, the trailer features a preview of the upcoming season’s opening theme song, “Sayonara janai hou ga ii,” performed by SIX LOUNGE. The ending theme for Season 2 will be “Futatsu no Michi,” performed by 22/7.
The main voice cast returns for the new season, including Natsumi Fujiwara as Arthur Leywin, Makoto Furukawa as Grey, and Kana Ichinose as Tessia Eralith. Their routine missions take an unexpected turn when Brald, an AA-ranked adventurer, invites them to participate in a special quest. Although Arthur and his companions question why they were chosen, Arthur ultimately accepts the mission as his final quest before entering the Academy. However, the journey soon leads them toward a tragedy they never anticipated.
The anime is based on the popular comic series created by TurtleMe and published by Tapas Entertainment. The first season was directed by Keitaro Motonaga at Studio A-CAT, with series composition by Takamitsu Kono, character designs by Masami Sueoka, and music by Keiji Inai.
The story centers on King Grey, who is mysteriously reborn as Arthur Leywin on the magical continent of Dicathen. Although he begins his new life as a child, he retains the wisdom and knowledge from his previous life. Determined to correct the mistakes of the past, Arthur dedicates himself to mastering magic and forging a new destiny.
Season 1 of “The Beginning After the End” is currently available to stream on Crunchyroll ahead of the highly anticipated premiere of Season 2 on April 1.
