Deadpool & Wolverine is already generating buzz as one of this summer’s most anticipated movies, smashing ticket presale records and building up a lot of excitement.

Since production began last year, rumors and speculation have swirled around potential cameos in the film, with one name in particular making headlines: Taylor Swift. A close friend of Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds, Swift has been the subject of much debate among fans wondering if she’ll make an appearance in some capacity.

In a recent interview discussing Deadpool & Wolverine, Reynolds addressed the flood of rumors surrounding Swift’s possible cameo. He emphasized that the film has plenty of surprises in store for fans, pointing out the speculative nature of movie rumors, including one absurd claim that Elvis could be in the movie.

“Movies like this attract so much speculation about potential appearances,” Reynolds explained. “There’s a lot of excitement around who might show up. That’s the charm of this universe. Deadpool thrives on surprises.”

One of the biggest rumors involves Swift potentially playing Alison Blaire / Dazzler, a beloved mutant pop star with light-bending abilities. Similar rumors circulated back in 2016 for X-Men: Apocalypse, but Swift’s role never materialized.

Her recent album, The Tortured Poets Department, has only fueled more speculation, especially with lyrics from her song “Clara Bow” hinting at being “dazzling.”

Levy, who has previously collaborated with Swift on All Too Well: The Short Film, has remained elusive about Swift’s potential involvement in the film, further adding to the anticipation surrounding Deadpool & Wolverine.
