Sakamoto Days has reached another major milestone as Yuto Suzuki’s manga continues its final storyline. The series has now published 276 chapters, surpassing the 271-chapter run of Jujutsu Kaisen, while its first 28 collected volumes have pushed the franchise beyond 18 million copies in circulation worldwide.
The achievement is particularly notable because Sakamoto Days debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump in November 2020, roughly two years after Jujutsu Kaisen began. Despite the later start, Suzuki’s series has maintained a remarkably consistent serialization schedule.
Sakamoto Days Has Reached 276 Chapters
The latest chapter count is confirmed by VIZ Media’s official Shonen Jump listing, which records Chapter 276 as the most recent chapter released on September 27, 2026.
That puts Sakamoto Days at five chapters beyond Jujutsu Kaisen, whose original serialization ended at Chapter 271. The comparison does not necessarily indicate which series is more successful, but it highlights how much material Suzuki has produced during the manga’s relatively short run.
The manga has also reached 28 collected volumes, with Shueisha listing Volume 28 among the series’ current releases. Volume 29 is already scheduled for November 4, showing that the series continues to move forward even as its story approaches its conclusion.

Chapter count is not the only major number attached to Sakamoto Days. The series passed 18 million copies in worldwide circulation alongside the release of Volume 28 in August 2026. The official Sakamoto Days account celebrated the milestone, confirming that the manga had crossed the 18-million mark with 28 volumes available.
That puts the series among Shueisha’s notable modern successes. Its sales have also continued to benefit from the anime adaptation, which helped introduce Suzuki’s action comedy to a much larger international audience.
The anime’s popularity is set to become even more important, with the official Shonen Jump website confirming that Sakamoto Days Season 2 is scheduled to premiere in January 2027.
The timing of these milestones makes them particularly significant. Sakamoto Days is currently deep into its final storyline, meaning the manga could soon close one of the longest-running modern Shonen Jump series despite being younger than several of its major predecessors.
With 276 chapters already published and Volume 29 on the way, Suzuki’s manga has established itself as one of Weekly Shonen Jump’s major post-Jujutsu Kaisen series. Its eventual conclusion will leave the magazine without one of its most consistent action titles, even as the upcoming second anime season could bring another wave of attention to the franchise.
For now, Sakamoto Days has both an impressive chapter count and an 18-million-copy milestone behind it as its final battle continues.
