The wait for Reincarnated as a Sword Season 2 is almost over. HIDIVE has released a new English-subtitled trailer for the highly anticipated second season, giving fans another look at the returning isekai adventure before its Fall 2026 simulcast debut. The sequel will stream exclusively on HIDIVE across the United States, Canada and several international markets, including the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.
The new season continues the journey of Fran and her sentient sword Shishou as they pursue their shared goal of helping Fran evolve beyond the limitations placed on her Black Cat Tribe. Their unusual master-and-wielder relationship remains at the heart of the series, combining action, fantasy and comedy with Fran’s determination to fulfill her parents’ dream.
HIDIVE will also give fans an early opportunity to watch the sequel at Anime NYC 2026. The North American premiere is scheduled for August 22, followed by a Q&A featuring director Shinji Ishihira and producers Yosuke Shimada and Genta Ozaki.

The new English-subtitled trailer is now available on HIDIVE’s official YouTube channel, offering viewers a preview of what awaits Fran and Shishou in the second season. The sequel is part of HIDIVE’s Fall 2026 Simulcast Season, meaning subscribers will be able to follow the series during its Japanese broadcast period.
The story follows a human who awakens after reincarnation as a powerful sword. Using telekinesis, he travels through a new fantasy world while gathering skills until he encounters Fran, a young Beastkin girl being pursued by a monster.
Fran takes the sword and names him Shishou, establishing the partnership that drives the series. As a member of the Black Cat Tribe, she faces a major challenge because no member of her tribe has ever evolved into a more powerful beast.
Rather than accepting that limitation, Fran intends to become the first and accomplish the dream shared by her parents. Shishou promises to remain by her side until she reaches that goal, turning the pair into an increasingly formidable adventuring team.
Reincarnated as a Sword Season 2 will be available exclusively through HIDIVE in the U.S. and Canada, alongside the U.K., Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. The anime streaming service can be accessed through desktop and laptop computers, tablets, smartphones and connected television devices.
