Reborn as a Space Mercenary: I Woke Up Piloting the Strongest Starship! has released new creditless opening and ending videos, giving viewers a closer look at the anime’s characters, space battles and intergalactic adventure. The opening features FLOW performing “UNSTOPPABLE,” while Asterism provides the ending theme, “My Way.”
The sci-fi isekai series premiered in Japan on October 4, 2026, and Crunchyroll is streaming it as part of its Fall 2026 lineup. The anime is available across numerous international territories, including India.
FLOW BRINGS “UNSTOPPABLE” TO THE OPENING
FLOW’s energetic “UNSTOPPABLE” accompanies the anime’s opening sequence, matching the series’ focus on space combat and Hiro’s carefree mercenary lifestyle.
Speaking about the song through the anime’s official website, FLOW said the track was created to capture the “exhilarating sense of being matchless” experienced by Hiro as he travels through space with his powerful ship. The band also incorporated sounds inspired by classic video games to reflect the series’ strong shooting-game elements.
“UNSTOPPABLE” was released digitally on October 5, while a CD single containing the song and FLOW’s “Sorrow” is scheduled for October 28.
The anime follows office worker Takahiro Satou, who suddenly finds himself inside the world of his favorite science-fiction game. Now known as Hiro, he commands a powerful starship and works as a space mercenary while fighting enemies and building a crew around him.
The series is based on Ryuto’s light novels, which began on Shosetsuka ni Naro in 2019 and currently have 17 published volumes. Seven Seas Entertainment releases the novels in English.
Norihiko Nagahama directs the adaptation at studio A-CAT, with Takamitsu Kono handling series composition, Masami Sueoka designing the characters and Kenta Higashiohji composing the music. The series combines isekai fantasy with spaceships, interstellar colonies and large-scale battles.
With its creditless sequences now available, fans can also experience FLOW and Asterism’s themes without the usual production credits appearing over the animation.
