The Pokémon Company International and Disney+ have announced a new global distribution deal that will bring both classic and new Pokémon animation to the streaming platform. The agreement includes Aardman’s upcoming stop-motion series, Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d & Pichu, which will debut worldwide on Disney+ in 2027.

Set in the Galar region, the series follows Sirfetch’d and Pichu as they embark on a quest to help and protect Pokémon. Their missions may not always go as planned, but their adventures will combine friendship, comedy, and Aardman’s signature stop-motion style.

The deal also includes Pokémon the Series: The Beginning, the original Ash and Pikachu anime, which is now streaming on Disney+ in the U.S. and select international markets. Disney+
