Persona 4 Revival Confirms Abby Trott as Rise Kujikawa, MAPPA to Produce Animated Cutscenes

ATLUS used its “Persona 4 Revival” panel at Anime Expo to reveal several new details about the upcoming remake, including a key English voice cast addition and the studio behind its animated cutscenes. During the packed presentation, General Producer Kazuhisa Wada, Business Producer Yohsuke Uda, and Character Designer Shigenori Soejima were joined by emcee and English voice actor for Yosuke Hanamura, Paul Castro Jr., to discuss the game’s development.

The biggest announcement from the panel confirmed that Abby Trott will voice Rise Kujikawa, the beloved idol known by fans as “Risette.” ATLUS also revealed that all animated cutscenes in Persona 4 Revival are being produced by MAPPA, the acclaimed Japanese animation studio behind several popular anime series. The presentation also confirmed that more English voice cast announcements are still on the way.

Abby Trott joins Persona 4 Revival as Rise Kujikawa

ATLUS announced that Abby Trott has been cast as Rise Kujikawa, a first-year high school student and rising idol whose cheerful personality has earned her the nickname “Risette.” In the game, Rise’s grandmother operates a tofu shop in Inaba, and her Persona is Himiko.

The panel also featured a special appearance by Manabu Otsuka, President and CEO of MAPPA, who confirmed that the studio will handle all animated cutscenes for Persona 4 Revival, marking another high-profile collaboration for the developer.

Persona 4 Revival is scheduled to launch on February 18, 2027, for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, PlayStation 5, and Steam. The game will be available on day one through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, while also supporting Xbox Play Anywhere.

In addition, ATLUS announced that Persona 4 The Animation and Persona 4 The Golden Animation are available to watch for free on Aniplex USA’s YouTube channel until August 19, giving fans a chance to revisit the story before the remake arrives.
