A new project for Kaiju No. 8 shared its debut trailer after a countdown concluded alongside the airing of the anime’s 10th episode.

The project revealed itself as Kaiju No. 8 THE GAME, a game developed by Akatsuki Games for smartphones and PCs. It will be available on platforms like Apple’s App Store, Google Play, and Steam.

The anime adaptation of Kaiju No. 8 premiered on TV Tokyo in April, with Crunchyroll streaming the series worldwide with both English subtitles and an English dub concurrently with its Japanese broadcast.

Directed by Shigeyuki Miya and featuring series composition by Ichiro Okouchi, Kaiju No. 8 follows a protagonist caught up in unexpected circumstances, transforming into a monster and striving to achieve long-lost dreams.

The character designs and animation are overseen by Tetsuya Nishio, known for his work on Naruto, while monster designs are handled by Mahiro Maeda and art direction by Shinji Kimura.

The anime’s music is composed by Yuta Bando, with the opening theme Abyss performed by British singer YUNGBLUD and the ending theme Nobody by American pop rock group OneRepublic.

The manga, titled Monster #8 on Shueisha’s MANGA Plus service, is licensed by Viz Media.

Created by Matsumoto and launched in July 2020, the series chronicles the journey of a man whose life takes an unexpected turn, intertwining his mundane job with newfound monstrous abilities and aspirations.
