Netflix is gearing up to expand its adult animation lineup with DANG!, a new comedy series created by Andrew Law. The streamer has now released the official trailer and new images, confirming that the series will premiere globally on September 8, 2026.
The eight-episode series features a voice cast led by Stephanie Hsu, Poppy Liu and Law himself. DANG! also brings together several comedy veterans, including The Good Place collaborators Law, Matt Murray and Mike Schur, while animation studio Titmouse is handling production.
Netflix lists DANG! as an adult animated comedy and sitcom set in New York City, with its story centered on complicated family relationships.
DANG! Brings a Chaotic Sibling Story to Netflix
At the center of DANG! are a brother and sister living messy, carefree lives in New York City. Their routine takes an unexpected turn when their older sister arrives and, rather than simply stopping by, actually wants to spend time with them.
Netflix’s official synopsis describes the central conflict as a nightmare for the younger siblings: their
“high-achieving older sister shows up and wants to hang out with them.”
The setup gives the series a family-comedy foundation while allowing the adult animated format to explore the awkwardness and chaos of sibling relationships.
The series is created by Andrew Law, who serves as a showrunner and executive producer alongside Matt Murray. Law also joins Poppy Liu and Stephanie Hsu in the main voice cast, with Hsu known for Everything Everywhere All at Once and Liu for Hacks.
The project also reunites Law, Murray and Mike Schur, whose television credits include The Good Place and Parks and Recreation. Schur serves as an executive producer alongside Alan Yang and David Miner, while Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Ben Kalina and Antonio Canobbio executive produce for Titmouse.
When DANG! was first announced, Law said, “We’re beyond thrilled to partner with Netflix, Universal Television, and Titmouse on DANG!” He also jokingly added that the team hoped viewers would find the characters “very, very attractive. Sexually.” The quote was reported by Variety in its original announcement coverage.
Production details: Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, is producing the series, while Titmouse is the animation studio. The first season will contain eight 30-minute episodes, with all episodes forming part of Netflix’s adult animation slate.
