Recently rising to fame from her role in the JTBC drama “Queen of Divorce,” Lee Seo-an has had a dramatic career journey. Initially dreaming of becoming a flight attendant, she graduated from Korea Aerospace University with a major in Aeronautical Science & Flight Operations. However, her career took a different flight path when she debuted in 2009 as a member of SeeYa, filling the spot left by Nam Gyu-ri with the EP album “Rebloom.”

Lee Seo-an’s journey in the K-pop industry was multifaceted. After SeeYa, she became the leader of the 10-member co-ed group Coed School. Despite initial promise, the group faced controversies that led to its disbandment. She then debuted for the third time with F-ve Dolls.

Although she received better part distribution and positive reactions compared to her Coed School days, the group faced issues like poor treatment and sudden member changes, earning it the label of a “recycled group.” After a year, Lee Seo-an left F-ve Dolls to pursue solo activities.

Transitioning from idol life, Lee Seo-an concluded her career with F-ve Dolls in 2012 and ventured into acting. She started gaining traction in the Chinese market with dramas in 2016 before returning to Korea to pursue acting in earnest in 2017. Changing her stage name from “Soomi” to “Lee Seo-an,” she felt the new name was unique yet familiar.

Lee Seo-an’s acting career soared with her role as Jeong Hae-jin in the drama “Justice,” where she played an ambitious rookie actress, earning significant recognition. Her realistic performances continued in “Mystic Pop-up Bar,” “Artificial City,” and “Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol.” In JTBC’s “Queen of Divorce,” she portrayed Ji-in, a conglomerate daughter-in-law with a chilling gaze of revenge, leaving a lasting impression.

Lee Seo-an continues to impress with versatile and genuine acting performances.

Recently, she shone in Disney+’s “The Impossible Heir” as Jung Ji-sun, the wife of a conglomerate family’s eldest son. With each role, Lee Seo-an continues to gain attention for her standout performances. She has expressed a desire to play genuine and touching roles that resonate with viewers, with high expectations for her future endeavors.
