In a recent interview with ELLE Korea, Jisoo of BLACKPINK opened up about her experiences and reflections on both her music and acting careers, offering fans an insightful look into her creative journey.

One of the key topics she discussed was her dual career as both a global pop star and an actress. Having recently wrapped up filming for two major projects—Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint and the drama Newtopia—Jisoo was asked about how her responsibilities differ between being a singer and an actor.
She explained that while both roles require a tremendous amount of time, effort, and dedication, the real difference lies in the type of energy she invests into each.
“The only difference is the energy you perceive at the moment; both require investing a lot of time and effort, so the weight of responsibility is no different,” she said.

When discussing her work as an actress, Jisoo highlighted the importance of collaboration, particularly in the early stages of a new project.
“When I receive a good script, I tend to meet with the director and have a lot of discussions. Since we’ll be working together for a long time, I believe it’s important to make sure that we are working in the same direction,” she shared.
This thoughtful approach to her roles shows Jisoo’s dedication to not only performing but also understanding the deeper aspects of her character and the overall vision of the project.

“There are so many things I need to look into and decide one by one. It’s difficult, but also enjoyable, and I’ve come to realize how many people are helping me. Hopefully, the outcome will be more meaningful because of that.”

“I can’t wait to share it with the fans,” she added.
