Hart, a WWE Hall of Famer, has inspired generations of wrestlers with his talent and iconic persona. Jey Uso is no exception. He spoke openly about how an old commercial featuring Hart wearing pink glasses sparked the idea for his current look.
Stole it from Bret Hart
Uso, wanting to pay homage to the legend, approached the creative team with his vision. They embraced the idea and worked with Uso to adapt it, making sure the look felt fresh and unique to him.
“There was an old commercial with Bret Hart,” Uso said. “I saw it and thought ‘Light bulb!’ I need blue ones, the exact same ones but blue. Remember, it had the rubber strap on here and it was flimsy? I wanted that whole look. We couldn’t get it exactly, but we tweaked it to make it mine. But I stole the whole idea from Bret Hart.”
Jey Uso will now carry this look, inspired by a wrestling legend, as he faces off against Gunther in the King of the Ring semifinals. It will be interesting to see how Uso utilizes this tribute to Bret Hart in the upcoming high-stakes match.
