IVE is preparing for its next comeback with a detailed promotional schedule for its upcoming mini-album “Looks Can Kill.”
Starship Entertainment has revealed a series of teasers and promotional events that will gradually introduce fans to the group’s latest concept.
The new project is being presented as an IVE-style spin-off built around a “Girl Hero” theme, adding a new character and storyline to the group’s expanding conceptual universe.
The schedule began on September 30, with additional content planned throughout October.
The full mini-album is scheduled for release on October 26, while the title track, which shares the album’s name, will be released earlier on October 19 at 6 p.m. KST.
This makes the title track the first major musical preview of the new era before the complete mini-album arrives one week later.
The comeback follows approximately eight months after IVE’s second full-length album, “REVIVE+,” which was released in February.
During the intervening period, the six members- An Yujin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Wonyoung, Liz, and Leeseo- continued their global activities through the group’s second world tour, “SHOW WHAT I AM.”
The tour took IVE across Asia, Oceania, and North America, including performances at major venues such as Japan’s Kyocera Dome and Tokyo Dome.
A Detailed Schedule Introduces IVE’s ‘Girl Hero’ Universe
According to the newly released schedule poster, the promotional campaign will gradually reveal different parts of the “Looks Can Kill” concept.
A cast reveal is scheduled for October 2, followed by the tracklist on October 4, giving fans their first look at the project’s musical lineup.
The group will then release content titled “HERO IN EVERYWHERE” on October 5, followed by “POST CREDITS SCENE : GIRL HERO” on October 6.
These titles further emphasize the cinematic and superhero-inspired direction of the comeback.
The concept-photo rollout will begin with the “GIRL HERO” version from October 7 to 9.
Promotional images will then continue with the “HERO COMICS” version from October 12 to 14.
Another concept titled “HERO ON SET” is scheduled for October 18, while the “SPIN-OFF” version is planned for October 26.
The schedule also includes two music video teasers for the title track on October 16 and 17.
After the song’s pre-release on October 19, fans can expect a highlight medley on October 21, offering another preview of the mini-album before its complete release.
The concept continues a style of storytelling that IVE has explored through earlier releases.
The group’s latest project is described by Starship Entertainment as an IVE-style spin-off centered on the “Girl Hero” concept.

‘Looks Can Kill’ Continues IVE’s Expanding Conceptual Story
Starship Entertainment explained, “IVE’s new album ‘Looks Can Kill’ is an IVE-style spin-off project based on the ‘Girl Hero’ concept.”
The agency added that the group will introduce “another character and universe” while transforming the six members into heroes and continuing the story through expanded music and performances.
The new concept follows previously introduced themes involving Cupid and magical-girl characters, suggesting that IVE’s upcoming release will add another chapter to its broader fictional universe.
Rather than simply presenting a collection of new promotional images, the schedule indicates that different pieces of the concept will be revealed gradually throughout October.
The visual direction was first previewed through a coming-soon video featuring projection mapping across a high-rise building.
The video displayed the IVE logo alongside the phrase “IVE SPIN-OFF RELEASE 2026.10.19,” while Seoul landmarks appeared in the background.
The large-scale presentation and cinematic styling helped establish the superhero-inspired atmosphere surrounding the new project.
The comeback also arrives after a successful period for IVE. “REVIVE+” featured the group’s double title tracks, while “BANG BANG” achieved a Perfect All-Kill on major domestic music charts and earned eight music-show wins.
“BLACKHOLE” added another music-show victory, giving the album cycle nine wins in total.
With “Looks Can Kill,” IVE is now preparing to enter a new promotional era filled with multiple teaser stages, concept-photo versions, music video previews, and narrative elements.
The title track will arrive on October 19, followed by the complete mini-album on October 26.
As the schedule unfolds, the group will gradually reveal more about its new “Girl Hero” universe and the music accompanying its latest transformation.
