Hunter x Hunter Chapter 411 :Spoilers & Summary

Thread

Hunter x Hunter Chapter 412 is going to be released very soon, and fans are eagerly waiting to see the consequences of Gon’s shocking decision in the previous chapter. After undergoing a strange but calculated negotiation process and ultimately choosing to join Lobet’s organization, Gon has stepped onto a completely new and morally uncertain path.

The reveal of Contagion’s strict Nen-based system, along with the group’s harsh progression rules and conditional loyalty, has raised major questions about how far Gon is willing to go to achieve his goals.

At the same time, his growing determination to gain power and move forward suggests this could become one of the most transformative periods of his journey. With new alliances, dangerous choices, and an unfamiliar world opening up before him, the upcoming chapter could mark the beginning of a major turning point in Hunter x Hunter.

Hunter x Hunter Chapter 410 Recap

The previous chapter focused on Gon’s final negotiation with Lobet/Liberty, the woman wearing a crown of thorns, over whether he would commit to joining her group’s covert operation.

This chapter opens with that negotiation reaching its conclusion, as Gon affirms his decision is final and cannot be reversed. A montage shows his inner conflict, flashes of reluctance and resistance before revealing that he ultimately chose to say yes, committing himself to the group.

It’s then revealed that this entire process was structured as a card game designed to test honesty and resolve. Gon faces scrutiny over whether he secretly manipulated the cards, particularly a card that would have let him reverse his choice. He denies any wrongdoing, maintaining that his selection was legitimate.

Lobet and another member closely examine the two remaining cards, checking for tampering like subtle markings or indentations that a cheater might use to identify and discard incriminating evidence after the fact.

Lobet explains that her ability, “Contagion,” is fundamentally tied to the card game itself, meaning any cheating would automatically be exposed through the mechanics of her power rather than relying on suspicion alone.

She points out that Gon’s choices had narrowed down to a simple binary decision, and that regretting the limitations of that choice doesn’t change the fact that he made it he now has to live with the outcome.

The group then formally accepts Gon as their newest member. Lobet details how rank and progression within the organization work, all governed by her Nen ability. Gon currently holds no real standing, having not yet met any conditions for advancement.

She outlines three ways to gain levels: harming an ordinary civilian grants a small increase, eliminating a Nen user grants a much larger jump, and targeting one of the “princes” grants an even greater leap, eventually allowing a member to build and lead their own team once a high enough level is reached.

She bluntly warns him that the group’s loyalty is conditional they will discard him the instant he stops being useful and that progressing, leaving, or returning to his old allies are all choices left entirely up to him.

She elaborates further on how her ability functions almost like installed software, allowing her to track every member’s status, location, and progress at all times. The only way to be freed from this monitoring is to fully complete the group’s requirements. Minor conflict or rivalry between members is permitted, so long as it doesn’t escalate into open chaos.

The chapter ends with Gon expressing a newfound sense of purpose. Having committed to this path, he now understands that he must act decisively and acquire a Nen-based advantage as quickly as possible in order to move forward, setting up the next stage of his arc with a clear, if morally fraught, objective ahead of him.
