On Mauritius Island
Taking about Mauritius island, in an interview, Juan Gordon, who is the producer of the film, revealed that during the time of film production, his thinking that the virus would not have impacted the Mauritius Island was proved wrong when he got to know that the island will be closed for six months.
After six months when they returned for filming, their two actresses Justina Bustos and another one caught the virus. The latter one tested negative after some medication and tests. But the first one tolerated the virus for a number of weeks and because of this, she could not get involved with the filming of other scenes. Leaving Justina on Mauritius island, the production team went to Spain after filming all the scenes that did not require her present.

Canary Island was a kind of replacement for Mauritius Island because of COVID. The part that could not be filmed on Mauritius Island was filmed on Canary Island. For instance, the scenes where Justina was bound to appear have been majorly shot in Canary Island as the crew decided to not return to not Mauritius. All the remaining interior and exterior scenes were filmed on those islands.
