Goldin has officially opened its Spring Goldin 100 Auction, offering collectors a curated lineup of 100 high-value lots spanning sports, trading cards, and entertainment memorabilia. Running from May 27 through June 28, the auction highlights some of the most sought-after collectibles in the hobby, including rare rookie cards, game-used items, and historically significant pieces.
According to the official press release, this seasonal event is one of Goldin’s flagship offerings, designed to showcase premium items across multiple categories.
The auction is headlined by two standout rookie cards that represent modern icons in sports collecting. A 2003–04 Upper Deck Exquisite Collection Limited Logos LeBron James signed game-used patch rookie card leads the basketball category, widely regarded as one of the most important LeBron debut-year collectibles. Alongside it is a 2018 Topps Chrome SuperFractor Shohei Ohtani rookie card, a one-of-one release that has become one of the most recognizable cards in the modern era.
Rare Rookie Cards and Premium Basketball Collectibles Take Center Stage

Beyond its headline items, the Spring Goldin 100 Auction features an extensive selection of elite basketball memorabilia. Another LeBron James rookie patch autograph card, limited to just 23 copies, further strengthens the auction’s focus on historically significant debut-year pieces. The lineup also includes a unique Kobe Bryant signed card tied to his passion for soccer, along with a rare NBA Logoman patch card that highlights game-worn material.
The auction also celebrates the next generation of basketball stars, with a Cooper Flagg signed rookie card and a game-used jersey documenting a standout performance from his rookie season. Luka Dončić collectors are represented as well, with a one-of-one Panini Kaboom! card adding to the depth of premium modern items. These pieces collectively reflect Goldin’s strategy of combining legacy stars with rising talent to appeal to a wide range of collectors.
Historic Game-Used Memorabilia and Football Highlights
One of the most historically significant items in the auction is a game-used football from Super Bowl XLIX, signed by Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski. The ball is photo-matched to the touchdown that tied Brady with Joe Montana for the most Super Bowl touchdown passes at the time, marking a key moment in NFL history. This type of verified, game-used memorabilia continues to be a major driver of interest in high-end auctions.
In addition to football, the auction features a unique collection of NBA All-Star jerseys worn by Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and Luka Dončić. Each jersey is tied to a specific All-Star appearance, including Kobe’s final game and Curry’s MVP performance. These items offer collectors a direct connection to defining moments in basketball history.

Pokémon, Video Games, and Pop Culture Add Broader Appeal
Goldin’s Spring Goldin 100 Auction extends beyond traditional sports memorabilia, incorporating items from trading card games and video game history. A 1997 Pokémon Japanese Promo Bronze Trophy Pikachu card, awarded at the first official Pokémon TCG tournament, stands out as one of the most historically important pieces in the category. Its rarity and cultural significance make it a major highlight for collectors outside the sports space.
The auction also includes a sealed 1985 Nintendo Super Mario Bros. game, widely credited with helping revive the home console market. These additions reflect the growing crossover between sports collecting and broader pop culture collectibles, a trend that continues to shape the hobby.
