Bandai Namco Filmworks Inc. has announced a major Gundam SEED reunion for New York Comic Con 2026, bringing together the English voice actors behind Kira Yamato, Athrun Zala, and Shinn Asuka. Matt Hill, Sam Vincent, and Matthew Erickson will appear at NYCC on Thursday, October 8, where fans can meet the actors during a complimentary Gundam SEED autograph session.
The voice cast will also join a Main Stage panel focused on Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM ZERO, alongside Executive Producer Naohiro Ogata and Planning Producer Kaori Shida. The panel is expected to provide new information about the upcoming Gundam SEED FREEDOM ZERO project. Bandai Namco will also bring additional Gundam activities, exhibits, merchandise, and giveaways to the convention throughout the weekend.
Gundam SEED Cast Announces NYCC 2026 Autograph Session
The Gundam SEED English dub cast will meet fans during a complimentary autograph session on Thursday, October 8. Matt Hill, who voices Kira Yamato, Sam Vincent, the voice of Athrun Zala, and Matthew Erickson, who voices Shinn Asuka, are scheduled to appear together.
The autograph session will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. EDT at Hall 1A Autographing. Fans attending the event can have Gundam-related items or items associated with the guests signed, with the organizers noting that autograph quantities and other details may be subject to change.
The reunion gives longtime Gundam SEED fans an opportunity to meet three English dub performers associated with some of the franchise’s most recognizable characters.

RO Gets a NYCC Main Stage Spotlight
Later on October 8, the three voice actors will appear at the “GUNDAM Showcase 2026 @ NYC – Feat. SEED FREEDOM ZERO” Main Stage panel. The event is scheduled for 3:30–4:30 p.m. EDT and will also feature Naohiro Ogata and Kaori Shida.
The panel will focus on the latest developments surrounding Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM ZERO. According to Bandai Namco Filmworks, attendees will get a closer look at upcoming Gundam initiatives and fan experiences, with giveaways also planned during the event.
The giveaway lineup includes Gundam merchandise and promotional materials such as a T-shirt, Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX-ZERO poster, Gundam Card Game promotional cards, a Gunpla shopping bag, Gundam introduction books, an inflatable Beam Saber, and a 1/144 RX-78-2 Gundam Workshop Kit Ver. The company notes that the contents and designs of distributed materials can change without prior notice.
Fans who cannot attend NYCC will also have a way to follow the latest SEED FREEDOM ZERO announcements. Bandai Namco Filmworks will stream a special program worldwide through GUNDAM CHANNEL INTL beginning at 3:45 p.m. EDT on October 8. The program will deliver the same updates from the NYCC panel, although it will not be a recording or live broadcast of the panel itself.
More Gundam Events Planned Throughout NYCC 2026
Gundam activities will continue beyond Thursday’s events. The Bandai Namco Toys & Collectibles America booth (#2619) and TAMASHII NATIONS booth (#2417) will feature special exhibits, Gundam retail offerings, and additional fan experiences.
TAMASHII NATIONS will also host its “Ignite Your Soul” panel on Friday, October 9, from 2:45–3:45 p.m. EDT in Room 409. Later that day, Matt Hill will participate in a Gundam SEED meet-and-greet photo opportunity and autograph event at the TAMASHII NATIONS booth from 4:30–5:30 p.m., connected to the MB Strike Freedom Gundam retail item.
New York Comic Con 2026 runs from October 8–11 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.
