Netflix has officially kicked off the final stretch of hype for Devil May Cry Season 2 with the release of a brand-new single and animated music video titled “See U in Hell.” The track, performed by Papa Roach and featuring Indian rapper Hanumankind, debuted on YouTube on May 7, 2026, giving fans an intense preview of the tone and themes of the upcoming season.

The release arrives just days before the show’s official premiere on May 12, signaling Netflix’s push to blend music and anime storytelling into a single cinematic experience. With its aggressive sound and stylized visuals, “See U in Hell” captures the emotional and action-driven core that has defined the Devil May Cry franchise for decades.

A High-Energy Collaboration That Fits Devil May Cry Perfectly

“See U in Hell” is not just another promotional track. It is crafted to match the chaotic and emotional conflict at the heart of Season 2. The song is written by Alex Seaver of Mako, Jacoby Shaddix, Hanumankind, and Tyler Demorest, with Adi Shankar serving as executive producer. Production duties are handled by Seaver and Demorest, while Reuben Cohen mastered the final track.

The collaboration itself stands out. Papa Roach brings its signature hard rock intensity, while Hanumankind adds a sharp, modern edge that elevates the song’s global appeal. This mix aligns well with Netflix’s strategy of making the series resonate with both Western and international audiences.

Fans might recall that Papa Roach’s iconic track “Last Resort” was previously used in promotional material for Season 1. That connection makes “See U in Hell” feel like a continuation of the show’s musical identity rather than a one-off addition.

Season 2 of Devil May Cry raises the stakes significantly by looking deeper into Dante’s personal struggles. The story centers on a war between worlds, where Dante must face a powerful and deeply personal enemy, his estranged twin brother Vergil.

Voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch, Dante returns as the charismatic demon hunter, while Robbie Daymond takes on the role of Vergil. The dynamic between the two brothers is expected to be the emotional backbone of the season, exploring themes of family, loss, and identity.

The official logline teases a psychological and physical battle, where Dante must confront not only his brother but also the trauma of his past. With Vergil’s return, the question becomes whether Dante can overcome his inner demons or be consumed by them.

Production Details and What to Expect

The series continues under the leadership of Adi Shankar, known for his work on high-energy animated adaptations. Animation is handled by Studio Mir, which has built a reputation for delivering fluid action sequences and detailed visuals.

Season 2 will consist of eight episodes, each running approximately 30 minutes. Alongside Bosch and Daymond, the cast includes Scout Taylor-Compton as Lady, adding another familiar face to the mix.

The soundtrack also promises to be a major highlight. Beyond “See U in Hell,” the season is expected to feature music from artists like Evanescence, Korn, and Avril Lavigne, reinforcing the show’s strong connection to rock and alternative music culture.

Dropping the music video just days before the premiere is a calculated move by Netflix. It not only fuels excitement but also gives fans a taste of the show’s visual tone and narrative intensity. The animated MV blends scenes from the upcoming season with stylized sequences, creating a bridge between music and storytelling.

With the franchise originally created by Hideki Kamiya and developed by Capcom, Devil May Cry has always been about style, action, and attitude. This latest release stays true to that legacy while pushing the series into a more cinematic and globally appealing direction.

As the May 12 premiere approaches, “See U in Hell” sets the tone perfectly. It is loud, emotional, and packed with energy, much like the battle between Dante and Vergil that fans are about to witness.
