Netflix has confirmed October 30, 2026 as the release date for Dead-End Job, its upcoming Korean mystery-horror-fantasy series starring Lee Jae Wook, Go Min Si, Kim Min Ha, and Lee Hee Joon. The announcement arrives alongside the first official teaser trailer and poster, giving viewers their first substantial look at the unsettling workplace at the center of the story.
Formerly known as Perfect Job, the eight-episode Netflix series follows Hyeok-jun, a young man struggling with debt who discovers an employment agency offering part-time work at an extraordinary rate. The catch quickly becomes apparent when an apparently ordinary job turns into a terrifying fight for survival.
The series combines workplace comedy with mystery, fantasy, and horror, making its Halloween-season premiere particularly fitting. Netflix describes the show as a story about a desperate man whose pursuit of money turns into a nightmare.
Dead-End Job Trailer Reveals Hyeok-jun’s Nightmare Workplace
According to Netflix’s official announcement, Hyeok-jun discovers a mysterious employment agency called Spider Staffing Agency after seeing an offer that promises wages starting at 50 times the minimum hourly rate.
There is one major condition attached to the seemingly perfect opportunity: employees must never reveal what happens during their assignments.
Hyeok-jun is sent to what appears to be an ordinary convenience store, but the job quickly becomes anything but normal. The newly released teaser shows him confronting increasingly disturbing situations, while the promotional poster depicts him bloodied and exhausted inside the wreckage of the store.
The agency’s mysterious head, played by Lee Hee Joon, is seen persuading Hyeok-jun to accept the position. What initially appears to be an unusually lucrative opportunity soon becomes a series of dangerous ordeals where each shift could cost him his life.
Lee Jae Wook Leads a Strong Netflix K-Drama Cast

Lee Jae Wook takes the central role of Hyeok-jun, continuing his growing association with Netflix after starring in Alchemy of Souls and Dear Hongrang. He is joined by Go Min Si as Yeon-joo, an investigator who begins looking into the strange incidents connected to the staffing agency.
Kim Min Ha plays Ji-yoon, Hyeok-jun’s younger sister. Her character is described as someone who believes that poverty is more frightening than ghosts, giving her a personal reason to worry about her brother’s dangerous employment.
Lee Hee Joon portrays Mr. S, the enigmatic head of Spider Staffing Agency. Netflix’s official cast listing confirms the four actors alongside the show’s creators.
Dead-End Job is directed by Kim Da-min, who previously wrote A Killer Paradox, while Han Jun-hee, known for D.P. and Weak Hero Class 2, oversees the series’ broader creative development. Netflix lists Kim Da-min, Han Jun-hee, and Kyung Min-sun among the show’s creators.
Production began in April 2025 and wrapped in November 2025, according to the production information reported by What’s on Netflix. The series is now moving into its final promotional phase ahead of its October premiere.
Dead-End Job premieres October 30, 2026, exclusively on Netflix, with all eight episodes expected as part of the series’ release.
