Troy

Troy is a historical epic inspired by Homer’s Iliad and the legendary Trojan War. Directed by Wolfgang Petersen, the film stars Brad Pitt as Achilles, Eric Bana as Hector and Orlando Bloom as Paris, bringing the ancient conflict between the Greeks and Troy to the screen through large-scale battles, political ambition, romance and personal rivalries. The story begins when Paris takes Helen, the wife of Spartan king Menelaus, to Troy, prompting the Greeks to launch an invasion. While the movie takes significant creative liberties with Greek mythology, it remains a major Hollywood interpretation of the legendary war and its famous warriors.
