Sinners

Ryan Coogler’s Sinners is a period horror film that blends Southern Gothic storytelling, vampire horror, crime drama and music. Set in 1932 Mississippi, the movie follows twin brothers Smoke and Stack, both played by Michael B. Jordan, as they return to their hometown to open a juke joint. Their plans take a terrifying turn when a supernatural threat descends on the community, turning their celebration into a fight for survival. The film explores Black culture, music, exploitation, family and the struggle against forces seeking to control what people create.
