Practical Magic 2 is the long-awaited sequel to the 1998 cult classic, bringing Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman back as sisters Sally and Gillian Owens nearly three decades later. Directed by Susanne Bier, the fantasy comedy-drama follows the next generation of the Owens family as Sally’s daughters, Kylie and Antonia, become entangled in the family’s longstanding romantic curse. When Kylie’s boyfriend falls into a coma, Sally, Gillian and the younger witches must confront the magical legacy that Sally had tried to keep hidden. The sequel draws inspiration from Alice Hoffman’s The Book of Magic while returning to the characters, locations and supernatural family mythology that made the original a fan favorite. Alongside Bullock and Kidman, the cast includes Joey King, Maisie Williams, Lee Pace, Xolo Maridueña, Dianne Wiest and Stockard Channing.
