Mayday

Mayday is a 2026 action-comedy set during the Cold War, starring Ryan Reynolds and Kenneth Branagh as two unlikely allies caught on opposite sides of the Iron Curtain. The story follows U.S. Navy pilot Lieutenant Troy “Assassin” Kelly after a secret mission in Soviet territory goes wrong, leaving him stranded behind enemy lines. His only chance of survival comes from Nikolai Ustinov, an eccentric former KGB agent who has an unusual fascination with American culture. Directed by Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves filmmakers John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, the film combines espionage, aerial action, comedy and buddy-movie chemistry.
