Pokémon Red/Blue/Green

Pokémon Red, Green & Blue are the original mainline Pokémon role-playing games that introduced players to the Pokémon world, the Kanto region and the first 151 Pokémon. Players take on the role of a young Pokémon Trainer, exploring towns, routes, caves and seas while catching and training Pokémon, challenging eight Gym Leaders and ultimately facing the Elite Four. Pokémon Red and Green launched the franchise in Japan in 1996, while Pokémon Blue served as a revised Japanese release and later became one half of the international Red/Blue versions. The games established the catching, training and trading mechanics that remain central to the Pokémon series.
