The revelation about Jennie’s lavish residence came to light during the airing of Netflix’s original series, “Super Rich in Korea,” where viewers got an exclusive sneak of the lives of wealthy individuals living in South Korea. Among the luxury properties featured was La TERRASSE Hannam, overlooking the Han River, where Jennie’s home is situated.
It was disclosed by a real estate agent on the show that BLACKPINK’s Jennie is a resident of La TERRASSE, having purchased her apartment in November 2023 for an impressive sum of ₩5.00 billion KRW, equivalent to approximately $3.67 million USD. Notably, Jennie paid for her property in full without relying on bank loans.
Jennie’s luxurious apartment boasts five bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a total living space of 223.97 square meters (2,636 square feet). Her acquisition of the property began in February 2021, initially securing the apartment with a 10% downpayment of ₩500 million KRW (about $366,764 USD).
Situated in the prestigious UN Village in Hannam, La TERRASSE is renowned as one of the most exclusive and expensive residential areas in South Korea, with actor Lee Jong Suk also owning property there.
Jennie’s high-profile real estate investment aligns with her fellow BLACKPINK member Lisa’s property purchases, with Lisa notably showcasing her lavish mansion in Seongbuk-dong, Seoul, and acquiring an estate in Beverly Hills, California, demonstrating the luxury lifestyle embraced by top K-pop stars like Jennie and her bandmates.
