Legendary K-pop icons BIGBANG have officially announced a special, large-scale outdoor fan festival at the iconic Han River Park in Seoul to commemorate their 20th debut anniversary.
Hosted ahead of their grand world tour, the open-air gathering is framed as a massive “reverse-tribute” event dedicated to VIPs (their official fandom), offering completely free admission to express gratitude for two decades of continuous global support.
The special anniversary event is set to feature interactive fan zones, immersive light displays reflecting the group’s historic milestones, retrospective exhibition spaces, and exclusive commemorative merch booths.
A surprise stage appearance and special live performance segment by the group are also anticipated, creating an unprecedented festival atmosphere along the banks of the Han River.
The announcement comes on the heels of BIGBANG unveiling the official title and outline for their upcoming milestone world tour, “XX : COSMOS.”
Designed to showcase the connection between the group’s past, present, and future, the tour marks their first major global concert run in years, featuring newly added dates across Asia, North America, and Europe.

Celebrating Two Decades of K-Pop History
Debuting under YG Entertainment in 2006, BIGBANG- often hailed as the “Kings of K-Pop”- helped pave the way for the global expansion of Korean pop music with genre-defining hits such as “Fantastic Baby,” “BANG BANG BANG,” “Haru Haru,” and “LIES.”
Over two decades, the group set record-breaking achievements across physical sales, digital charts, and stadium-level touring worldwide.
The upcoming Han River anniversary event and the “XX : COSMOS” tour serve as a major celebration of their longevity in an industry where few groups reach a 20-year milestone while maintaining global impact.
Details regarding free ticket reservation procedures, safety guidelines, and performance schedules for the Han River event will be released sequentially across BIGBANG’s official channel networks in the coming weeks as excitement builds for their landmark 20th-anniversary celebrations.
