While the movie industry faced challenges recently, two movies kept things going: “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” and “Bad Boys: Ride or Die.” Both films did surprisingly well in theaters. “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” earned almost $400 million worldwide, and “Bad Boys: Ride or Die” is nearing that amount too.

“Bad Boys: Ride or Die” has been out for almost two months. In the United States and Canada, it made close to $190 million. In other countries, it made around $198 million. In total, the movie has earned a fantastic $388 million worldwide.

This is the second most successful movie in the “Bad Boys” series. The first place belongs to “Bad Boys for Life,” which made over $200 million domestically and around $425 million worldwide. “Bad Boys: Ride or Die” might not reach those numbers, but it’s a great result for an R-rated action-comedy.

The production budget for “Bad Boys: Ride or Die” was reportedly $100 million

Even though critics haven’t always loved the “Bad Boys” movies, audiences have. Both the third and fourth movies got good reviews. “Bad Boys: Ride or Die” has a 65% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, while “Bad Boys for Life” scored 75%.

But audiences loved them even more! “Bad Boys: Ride or Die” has a 97% approval rating from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes, while “Bad Boys for Life” has a 96%.

This success also shows how popular Will Smith is as a movie star. “Bad Boys: Ride or Die” is his first movie in theaters since the incident at the Oscars a few years ago. It’s also his first movie only released in theaters since “Bad Boys for Life” four years ago.

You can still catch “Bad Boys: Ride or Die” in theaters. It will also be available to watch at home soon.
