Priest Discusses Historic Event
“We showed WWE you can have successful events outside the US,” Priest explained. “The crowd’s energy was amazing, and it set the stage for future shows around the world.”
Priest also revealed that he and Bad Bunny pushed hard to bring backlash to Puerto Rico. They wanted to showcase Latino wrestlers and give the region a chance to shine.
“We fought to get Backlash in Puerto Rico,” Priest said. “It wasn’t guaranteed! We wanted to show off Latino talent and have representation. This paved the way for shows like Rhea Ripley’s in Australia and Gunther’s upcoming event in Germany.”
While Bad Bunny won their match, Priest became the WWE World Heavyweight Champion! His recent win in France proves he’s a major force in WWE.
