Action Taimanin is set to receive one of its biggest content updates of 2026 on July 7, with developer Gremory Games introducing extensive gameplay improvements alongside a packed lineup of seasonal events. The July update focuses on reworking three playable characters—Amamiya Shisui, Su Jinglei, and Astaroth—while also expanding the game with a brand-new mini-game, limited-time costumes, story content, and multiple reward events.

The hack-and-slash action RPG, based on Lilith’s long-running Taimanin franchise, continues to evolve with combat refinements designed to improve character identity and gameplay variety. In addition to the balance changes, players can participate in login campaigns, mission events, free gacha opportunities, and new achievement systems throughout July. The update also introduces exclusive cosmetic rewards and premium packages, giving players several new ways to customize their favorite characters while progressing through seasonal content.

Shisui, Su, and Astaroth receive major gameplay revamps

The centerpiece of the July update is the performance overhaul for Shisui, Su Jinglei, and Astaroth, each receiving new signature mechanics that significantly alter their combat styles.

Amamiya Shisui now revolves around the new “Yin – Yang Mirror” effect. The mechanic strengthens the synergy between Shisui and her Guardian, with each applying different debuffs that reduce enemy Attack or Defense. Since these effects stack, players can continuously weaken opponents while increasing Shisui’s offensive potential during longer battles.

Su Jinglei gains a new Release Gauge system that charges through attacking, using skills, or taking damage. Once filled, she enters Release State, granting Super Armor, increased Attack based on her combo count, and faster flame-infused attacks that make maintaining long combo chains much easier.

Meanwhile, Astaroth receives the “Land of Inferno” characteristic skill. Activating the ability creates a magma field that lowers nearby enemies’ Attack and Speed while simultaneously boosting the same stats for Astaroth and compatible allies, encouraging a more aggressive team-focused playstyle.

To celebrate these improvements, Gremory Games will launch a dedicated Celebratory Achievement Event along with limited commemorative packages.

July events bring free rewards, costumes, and story content

The July update also introduces several limited-time events designed to reward active players. A two-part Login Event will distribute seasonal items such as Rainbow Tanzaku, Yakisoba, Correspondent Message, Grilled Squid, Grilled Corn on the Cob, Icebox, and themed shaved ice items simply for logging in.

Players can also participate in the Summer Vacation Mission Event, completing daily missions to earn rewards including supporter [Black Rose] Kousaka Shizuru, multiple Talismans, the Summer Stream lobby theme, and the Commander Mark: Summer Memories.

Additional activities include free gacha rolls using Phantasmal Gacha Coins earned through event missions and a material collection event where quest rewards can be exchanged for exclusive cosmetics, including the Voucher: Summer Beach and several Commander Marks.

New packages, costumes, and gameplay features arrive

July also introduces the new Wight Package, featuring Wight’s exclusive costume, weapon, and Gems, alongside a Pick-up Gacha offering limited supporters and weapons. Players can also purchase the Frozen Summer Package, which includes the Frozen Summer costume, an Ultimate Weapon Voucher, Support Kit 1.0, Gems, and additional upgrade materials.

The monthly Golden Pass rewards Mikami Chizu’s new “Overflowing Innocence” costume, while Clone Yukikaze and Azusa receive new Summer Beach outfits.

Beyond cosmetics, the update adds the new story event “Oboro Hates Summer.” Completing its stages unlocks Oboro’s exclusive costume, “Midsummer Night’s Oboro.” Players will also find a brand-new Special Mode mini-game starring Kannazuki Sora, offering gameplay that differs from the existing mini-games.

Finally, Gremory Games is expanding the Private Room system with new achievements tied to collecting themes, figures, poses, and special features, giving players additional progression goals and rewards.

According to Gremory Games, the July update will be available globally for Action Taimanin on July 7, delivering new combat systems, seasonal content, and quality-of-life improvements for players across all supported platforms.
