K-pop fans have another major year-end event to look forward to as SBS has officially announced the date and venue for the 2026 SBS Gayo Daejeon.
The annual music festival will return during the Christmas season, bringing together some of the biggest names in K-pop for a special two-day celebration.
According to SBS, the 2026 edition will take place on December 24 and 25 at KINTEX in Ilsan, Korea.
The announcement was made on October 1, confirming a significant change to the event’s usual format.
For the first time in its history, SBS Gayo Daejeon will be held across two consecutive days.
The upcoming festival will also mark the 30th celebration of SBS Gayo Daejeon, making the 2026 event a particularly notable milestone for the long-running K-pop program.
Since its establishment, the annual show has become one of the major year-end music events in South Korea, giving fans the opportunity to see leading artists share one stage and deliver special performances.
Although SBS has confirmed the dates and location, the broadcaster has not yet revealed the artist lineup for the 2026 year-end edition.

SBS Gayo Daejeon to Make History With Two-Day Format
The decision to extend the event to two days marks a new chapter for SBS Gayo Daejeon.

Holding the festival at KINTEX in Ilsan also places it at one of Korea’s major exhibition and convention venues.
The location has previously hosted SBS’s summer Gayo Daejeon event, which took place there on August 9, 2026.
