The Kpop group WINNER opened up candidly with other issues and struggled on the popular TV show, ‘Oh Eun Young’s Golden Clinic.’ Here, WINNER group members were able to open up to a popular and renowned psychiatrist Dr. Oh Eun Young, with regards to their troubles. They were able to speak openly regarding the issues that they face in modern times as well.
WINNER, as a group, is slowly and steadily learning how to open up to one another, making for some interesting conversations as well. On ‘Oh Eun Young’s Golden Clinic,’ they were able to open their hearts and minds so that they could get closer to each other as a group.
WINNER’s Lee Seung Hoon Opens Up
Lee Seung Hoon stated that as a group, they perform in various groups and venues, but they do not open up with each other regarding any issues or struggles they face in their lives. He wondered if it was ethical to maintain the boundary that they have or should they, as group members, open up more with each other.
Another one of WINNER’s members, Kang Seung Yoon, added that they oftentimes joke about being together forever. But sometimes, he wonders if this statement would simply remain a joke or would it translate to reality as well. Since he and the other group members have a sort of blockage between them, he really wondered if they could be together forever, both as a group and as friends as well.
Kim Jin Woo elaborated on the issue by stating that since no one ever wants to fight or create rifts, they just do not speak to each other about the problems that they have been facing or seeing. Lee Seung Hoon went on to continue saying that all the members of the group have gotten more sensitive to the sufferings and the plight of people around them. He went on to say that ever since being discharged from the military, he has been feeling more in tune and in touch with other people’s feelings as well. Therefore, he was the one who was the most concerned about the communication issue the group has been facing for a long time now.
Dr. Oh Questions WINNER
Upon hearing all these comments, Dr. Oh finally asked the group whether they always had such as type of relationship. WINNER’s group members agreed with her, saying that they always had a very professional relationship with each other, so they never dared to cross the boundary when it came to their personal lives.
In order to arrive at the true situation with regards to the relationship they share with each other, WINNER saw a video that was able to capture their everyday interactions and image with each other. In the video, it was seen that Song Mino was upset, and therefore, it was creating tension within the group as well. But, it was Dr. Oh that was able to point out that Song Mino was also trying really hard not to disturb the group dynamics. It was just that the energy levels he had were impacting everyone around him while he was going through a tough time all by himself.
WINNER’s Song Mino was slowly revealing things about himself. He stated that during the end of 2017, he was observing that his panic disorder was getting out of hand, so he was consistently looking for ways to improve himself. He was also crying when his life was not on film, so he felt as if everything about his life was a tragedy when not on camera. It was a major shock to all the other members of WINNER when they heard about how bad Mino’s panic disorder was getting. WINNER’s Mino also went on to share that he cannot rest easy when it comes to taking care of his family since he is the head.
Dr. Oh was able to placate Mino when it came to all his concerns since she shared that it is perfectly fine and okay to share your feelings since it can be positive as well. She added that while one cannot escape suffering, it is a part of life and one just needs to take it easy when it comes to having expectations with yourself. She was of the view that no one can ever be creative all the time, and when WINNER’s Mino is not creative or artistic, he feels poorly of himself.
