Will Toya Todoroki die?

In the manga, chapter 291 reveals that Toya had perished in a fire. The incident took place at the Sekoto Hill, where Endeavor used to train, and as the flames exceeded 2000 degrees, there was no trace of a corpse, except for a piece of Toya’s lower jaw bone. Naturally, Endeavor had assumed Toya’s death only to see Toya right in front of him alive and kicking as a villain named Dabi!

Enji Todoroki, whose hero name is Endeavor, is the no.1 hero in the MHA series. He became the former hero no.2 at the age of 20. When All Might announced his retirement from his hero no.1 position, naturally, Endeavor became the next greatest hero. Endeavor had always tried his best to match up to All Might. He was never able to surpass All Might. However, after being the greatest hero, he is seen to make improvements. His popularity was not so positive, nor was his relation with his family seem good.

The Todoroki Family

Fans might know about Enji and Rei’s children. Fuyuumi, the older and the only daughter, Natsuo, the second son, and Shoto, the youngest. But do we also know about their eldest son, Toya Todoroki? He was the eldest son of the Todoroki family and the one who is now linked to the League of Villains, an organization full of villains who threatens to destroy society and its system.

The manga reveals quite a clear understanding of the Todoroki family’s history. Toya Todoroki was the firstborn son of Enji Todoroki, who is popularly known for his hero name, Endeavor. In the manga series, chapter 290, while they were fighting the enemies, Dabi came in and revealed himself in front of his father and his younger brother, Shoto,  as the Toya Todorki, who was believed to be dead. Alongside this revelation, Dabi even broadcasted his story on television and revealed what he went through as a child. He shared his story that how as a child, he was made to dream that he could surpass Endeavor, even All Might, the former No. 1 Hero.

As he was training, he would get burnt, and as Endeavor noticed, he restricted Toya from training. Dabi believed that Endeavor had cut him off, or in other words, thrown him away, as he was deemed to failure. This was, however, one side of the story.

As Endeavor slowly turns to his family, he could realize how grave his sins were and that he should atone for his sins now. He realized the fact that running away isn’t the best solution. Endeavor tries his hardest to do whatever is best for his family. In chapter 249, Endeavor speaks of his dream where he sees his family happy, but he is never with them. “I am going to face them and make up for what I’ve done” is what Endeavor now happens to think about.
