Will Kushina Uzumaki Die in Boruto?

Yes, Kushina Uzumaki will die with her husband, Minato Namikaze. But this does not happen in Boruto. In fact, it happens before the events of Naruto itself. After Minato Namikaze’s marriage to her, Kushina was expecting a child. The Hokage (Third) and his wife Biwako made plans for her to give birth to Naruto while being protected by ANBU guards. Obito arrives at their location and annihilates the ANBU.

He murdered Biwako and Taji and kidnapped Naruto just as Minato was about to complete the binding of Kushina. Obito placed explosive devices under Naruto’s clothing, which Minato destroyed and protected Naruto from, but he missed out on the opportunity to capture Kushina because it was his top priority. Minato was trailing them both in the hopes of rescuing her. Obito stated that the Nine-Tails would be extracted from her body. He acquired complete control of Kurama once the Nine-Tailed Fox was extracted and commanded him to kill her, but that was prevented by Minato. She urged Minato to save the town because Konoha was about to be destroyed. Minato returned her to her house so she could care for Naruto.

The Binding Ritual

Following that, as Minato was fighting Obito, he called Kushina. Kurama was restrained by her Chakra Chains. She also informed him that she would be bringing Kurama with her. She tearfully thanked him for all that he had done for her and expressed her need to see Naruto grow up and enjoy a wonderful life with Minato and Naruto in the coming future. In Naruto, Minato decides to lock half of Kurama using the Reaper Death Seal Technique. She questioned why he was putting his life on the line for her. He said that he adores her and that he will never be able to substitute her because Naruto relied on his mother for most of his advice.

Minato began altering the binding and placed Naruto on it after she reluctantly agreed. When Kurama spotted the alter, he attempted to murder Naruto so that he would not be properly sealed, but she and her husband got in the way, and they were both stabbed by Kurana’s claw penetrating them.

Their Last Breath

Kushina Uzumaki and Minato Namikaze have died after Kurana’s claw penetrate them. Mito consoles her and tells her that they were brought here to become the carrier to preserve their community. Also, if the unfilled vessel is filled with love, Jinchuriki will be delighted. That’s why she was worried about whether or not she’d ever find someone who could fill her empty shell with love.

But, in the end, Kushina was overjoyed because the affection she had for Minato filled her empty shell, and she welcomed her future as Kurama’s Jinchuriki with joy. Jiraiya received Minato’s locking key at this point. Kushina said her final goodbyes to her kid and prayed him well in the future. After seeing her son for the last breath, they locked Kurama together within Naruto, and she disappeared alongside Minato. Because their major parts ended in the Naruto series, Kushina Uzumaki is not a part of the Boruto series.
