Why did Pain killl Jiraiya?
Jiraiya and Pain came face to face in Episode 130, “The Man Who Became God” of Naruto Shippuden. Pain and Konan hated Jiraiya for abandoning them all those years ago after all he was their sensei and believed that Yahiko wouldn’t have died if Jiraiya hadn’t abandoned them. The clash between the two resulted in the death of Jiraiya of The Legendary Sanins. Hate wasn’t the reason behind killing Jiraiya they had to kill Jiraiya because he found out about them and their motives for collecting Bijjus and the secret of Pain which they couldn’t afford the whole world to know.
Nagata Uzumaki was born in Amegakure, Better known as “Village Hidden in The Rain”. Village Hidden in The Rain is one of the most mysterious locales in Naruto Shippuden, which is a highly industrialized area surrounded by a massive lake that was ruled by Hanzo. Amegakure was unfortunate enough to be located between three of the Great Shinobi countries. Nagato, because of the tragedies he witnessed, all the destruction, and all the deaths of people close to him, turned him into Pain that later created a terrorist group named Akatsuki consisting of some of the most notorious rogue shinobis in the world.
During the Second Great Shinobi World War, Nagato lost his parents when two shinobi broke into their house searching for food and mistook Nagato’s parents for enemy shinobi and killed them. Nagato, at the mere age of 5 years, had to watch his parents die. Shinobis, who mistook Nagato’s parents for enemy shinobi, apologized to the young traumatized Nagato. But it was a little too late, reeling from the loss, Nagato unleashed The Rinnegan unknowingly implanted by Madara Uchiha.
Orphaned Nagato was later discovered by another pair of orphans, Yahiko and Konan, after collapsing from hunger. This trio, who will in the future lead a rebellion to free Amegakure from the hands of Hanzo, came face to face with The Legendary Sanins during the Second Shinobi World War searching for food. Later this trio became pupils of The Legendary Sanin Jiraiya, who trained them in the ways of ninjutsu so they could protect themselves. Jiraiya looked after the trio for three years and was surprised by their progress. To carry out his duties as shinobi of the leaf, Jiraiya had to leave them on their own.
Formation of First Akatsuki
Nagato, Yahiko, and Konan, under the leadership of Yahiko, created a group for the liberation of Amegakure from the hands of Hanzo. Hanzo was afraid that Yahiko might usurp his rule, so he allied with Danzo to take out the leaders of the First Akatsuki. Hanzo took Konan hostage and ordered Nagato to kill Yahiko or forfeit Konan. Yahiko jumps on the kunai Nagato was holding so that Nagato wouldn’t have to make such a choice himself. Hanzo’s man attacked Nagato as Yahiko died, which Nagato easily deflected with Shinra Tensei. He rescued Konan at the cost of his legs. Nagato resorted to summoning: Demonic Statue of the Outer Path to kill all of Hanzo’s men. Hanzo managed to escape, but he was severely injured and no longer a threat to Amegakure. The toll of using Demonic statue summoning was too great on Nagato, Several chakra rods were impaled in the Nagato’s back.
Nagato uses Yahiko’s corpse as a “Deva Path” to create his Six Path Technique. All these tragedies created The Pain.
