Since the sickness was devastating and little understood, surrounding countries eradicated Flevance out of terror, with only a young Law surviving. He then became a member of the Donquixote Pirates, wherein Donquixote Doflamingo decided to make Law one of his executive officers. Law was released from the Donquixote Pirates’ grip owing to the attempts of Doflamingo’s brother, Rosinante, and became a pirate determined to bring down Doflamingo’s empire. The Flevance Tragedy
Law was born in Flevance, a nation in the North Blue renowned as the “White City” because of the hue of the Amber Lead mined there. He resided there along with his parents, both of whom were doctors, and his younger sister, who was also in medical school. Law’s boyhood occurred during the pinnacle of Amber Lead poisoning in the country, and he was condemned to perish before entering maturity. The kingdom had been at odds with its neighbors, who mistakenly assumed the sickness was infectious. Although the World Government and the royal family were aware of the illness in advance, they did not tell the people, even as the symptoms became more obvious.
His parents were doing everything they could to assist the people, but they couldn’t do much because they lacked the necessary supplies. Law’s sister, who was in the advanced stages of the disease, was also dying slowly. Law accepted a local nun’s invitation to accompany her as she gathered children to be evacuated off the island during the war. He declined since he didn’t want to abandon his sister, but the nun assured him that she would return for him. His parents, on the other hand, were killed in front of his eyes by an extermination team. During the country’s collapse, his parents’ hospital was burnt down with his sister inside, and the nun and his pals were also slaughtered in the attack. Law managed to get out of the containment by hiding among dead bodies being transported outside of the city, despite his emotional state. After having lost everything and being betrayed by all he cared about, Law turned pessimistic and omnicidal. He sought to crush even more of the world as he could without trusting in any of it.
Trafalgar Law’s Loyalty To Friends & Crew
Law studied medicine in an institution with several other students throughout his boyhood in Flevance. Although a few pupils were irritated when Law was clutching a dead frog, they were mostly good friends, and when troops from other nations falsely claimed that the children could leave, they objected when Law chose to stay behind to care for his sick sister and parents. A nun, who was extremely sweet and kind to Law, was present with the children. When the troops shot and killed all of his students and the nun, Law sobbed uncontrollably.
He is particularly receptive to new crew members, as seen by his invitation to ex-slave pirate commander Jean Bart to serve. His team has proved that they revere and respect Law since they follow his commands irrespective of what they are. Bepo, Shachi, and Penguin were ecstatic to learn that Law was also on Zou when they caught up with Luffy. Law is also concerned about his crew since he wants to liberate them after they are kidnapped by the Beasts Pirates. He scowled at Shinobu when she proposed that they be silenced to discourage the Beast Pirates from obtaining any knowledge from them. He likewise believes in them and refuses to think that they will abandon the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Coalition.
Personality
Law was a very nice and loving youngster when still a young lad entering a doctor’s academy in Flevance, refusing to leave his family alone notwithstanding falsely promised evacuations, and aiming to become a brilliant doctor like his father while cheerfully attending festivals with his adored younger sister. Law continued to suffer a mental breakdown after the ruination of his homeland, the obliteration of his classmates and family, and a diagnosis of only 38 months to live, according to Doflamingo. He became recognized for being very violent and nihilistic, deliberately trying to enlist the Donquixote Pirates so that he could “destroy everything around him.” Law had a crisis of conscience only after Corazon had cured him of his ailment.
When not in a difficult circumstance, Present Law is a laid-back yet cunning man. Law prefers to be patient and act only when the moment is perfect, staying out of unneeded confrontation and waiting for a beneficial chance to accomplish his aims, such as his intentional decision not to rush his entry further into New World and subsequent elevation to the Seven Warlords of the Sea. Furthermore, Law dislikes starting or participating in commotions that may draw unwanted attention to himself. He enjoys watching other people’s chaos, such as a fight among two other Super Rookies or when the Straw Hat Pirates were wreaking on the Human Raffling House inside the Sabaody Archipelago. Following the time jump, Law’s smile fades, and he adopts a more careful, watching stare.
In reality, he only smirks when he’s happy that a plan worked out or when he’s aiming to irritate an opponent. When confronted with other well-known pirates, particularly those from the Worst Generation, Law takes a more daring approach. For instance, he proceeded to ask X Drake how many people he had shot dead in his first appearance, even though he had no compunctions about harshly gesturing to Eustass Kid, the most desirable rookie pirate on the Sabaody Archipelago with a notoriety for slaughtering civilians for the littlest of reasons, sometimes smiling defiantly while doing it.
Relationship Between Trafalgar Law and Doflamingo
Law and Doflamingo stuck together swimmingly since Doflamingo saw him as his younger brother and defended him when Giolla mistook his illness for contagiousness when it was actually not that. Doflamingo even stated that he intends to make Law his right-hand man, vowing to obtain a Devil Fruit to heal him and make it feasible. Buffalo also claimed that Doflamingo was reserving him the “heart seat.” Law eventually revealed how seldom Doflamingo cares for him, and then after the latter disclosed to Corazon that he aims to “educate” Law to die for him via propagandizing through the Ope Ope no Mi’s eternal life operation, as well as Doflamingo murdering Corazon, who ended up saving Law’s life by giving him his Devil Fruit to help treat his illness, Law switched sides from Doflamingo, shouting profanities to avenge Corazon’s passing.
Law’s Favourite Food
Some of Rosinante’s characteristics brushed off on Law as a result of their friendship. It may be because he admires Rosinante and sees him as a second father figure, which is very sweet. Onigiri and grilled salmon are Law’s favorite dishes, whereas bread and umeboshi are his least favorites. He and his pal Donquixote Rosinante share a hatred for bread. Bread is a common food in the One Piece world, and it is mostly depicted in the early sections of the series. However, the characters have also eaten rice. Surprisingly, the same cannot be true regarding umeboshi dried plums, which were a favorite of Rosinante’s.
