Kryst was discovered dead on the sidewalk beneath the building at approximately 7:15 a.m. Cheslie used to live on the ninth floor of the same building on West 42nd Street in midtown Manhattan.
She was last seen on the 29th floor of the building. ‘May this day bring you rest and peace,’ Kryst posted on her Instagram profile only hours before jumping. The model left a message which says that she wants to leave everything to her mother before taking her own life.
Cheslie’s family has asked for privacy in their statement. “Cheslie embodied love and served others, whether as an attorney fighting against social injustice, as Miss USA, or as an EXTRA host,” the family said in a statement.
